Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Fabio Carvalho could be loaned out in the summer, after having “not the best year of his career” at Liverpool. Carvalho was signed from Fulham for £7.7 million and had a bright start, but after 16 appearances before the World Cup break, he has only started twice since December and come off the bench three times. Klopp spoke in his pre-Southampton press conference on Friday, saying that there is a possibility for Carvalho to go on loan. He praised Carvalho’s work ethic, saying that despite not getting anything, he still trained hard. Klopp also said that he had never seen a reaction like Carvalho’s before and that it was unbelievable. He concluded by saying that it is still uncertain whether Carvalho will go on loan or stay with Liverpool.
