Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was left frustrated after his side drew 1-1 with Aston Villa in their final home game of the season, with the German railing against time-wasting in football. The Reds took the lead through Sadio Mane’s first-half strike, but were pegged back by a late equaliser from Villa’s Anwar El Ghazi.

Klopp was left disappointed by the lack of added time at the end of the game, and expressed his frustration at the amount of time-wasting he believes is prevalent in the modern game. He said: “It’s a problem in football, it’s not only here, it’s all over the world. It’s not a surprise, but it’s not nice.”

The result leaves Liverpool in second place in the Premier League table, one point behind leaders Manchester City. Fans can watch highlights from Saturday’s Premier League games on Match Of The Day at 22:25 BST on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app. This is available to UK users only.
