Kia Center: The New Home of the Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic’s arena, formerly known as the Amway Center, is undergoing a significant change. Kia, the renowned car manufacturer, has acquired the naming rights to the venue, and starting Wednesday, it will be known as the Kia Center.
A New Era Begins
For over a decade, the Amway Center has been synonymous with the Orlando Magic. However, this new partnership with Kia marks the end of a longstanding relationship. Since its opening in 2010, the arena had been sponsored by Amway, a company owned by the DeVos family, who also own the Magic. The city of Orlando owns and operates the arena.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the expanded partnership, Magic CEO Alex Martins stated, “The Orlando Magic and Kia America have been proud partners for several years, and we share in the excitement of Kia’s success and growth. We look forward to our expanded partnership, which allows Kia to drive its brand forward and deliver a direct, impactful message to our fan base and beyond using the power of the NBA.”
A Strong Alliance
Kia’s presence will be prominent both inside and outside the stadium, with their signage adorning the venue. Additionally, Kia will install electric vehicle charging stations at the arena, further solidifying their commitment to sustainability.
This partnership also strengthens the relationship between Kia and the NBA, as the car manufacturer is the official auto partner of both the league and the Orlando Magic.
