Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed the club are ‘always’ ready to spend amid the arrival of the January transfer window.
The Reds have struggled with injuries this season, with the likes of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota spending time on the sidelines.
The January window will give them the chance to strengthen for the rest of the season, with Liverpool already said to be ‘working on’ solving their issues.
Speaking in his press conference on Friday, Klopp said: “I’m not against investment but we will see what the future brings, nobody knows at the moment. I’m still convinced the future will be good.
“We have to solve the present and that’s what we are working on.
“January in our situation is a window from a sports side we are always prepared, it’s always clear what kind of ideas we have or how the necessity is from our point of view.
“All the rest doesn’t lie 100 per cent in our hands and we always work with what we’ve got, and that will not change.”
Liverpool are one of three clubs who have been heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

While a move in January is unlikely, they may be ready to sign the 19-year-old next summer, with Real Madrid and Manchester City also interested.
Bellingham is also thought to be ready to tell Dortmund that he wishes to leave the club.
Many of their current midfield options are either approaching 30-years-old or are older, so a younger signing would be one for the future.
Liverpool returned to action after the World Cup on Thursday night with a 3-2 loss to City in the Carabao Cup.
A trip to Aston Villa awaits them on Boxing Day, with Klopp’s side sitting in sixth and seven points off the Premier League top four.
