Sam Allardyce, the interim manager of Leeds United, has taken a dig at rival bosses Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool and Erik ten Hag of Manchester United as he defended Saturday’s opponents Newcastle against accusations of time-wasting. Allardyce argued that the Magpies are no different to any other team in the Premier League, and that Klopp and ten Hag have also been guilty of similar tactics. He said that it is part of the game and that it is up to the referee to decide when a team is taking too long. Allardyce also urged his Leeds players to use the fear of relegation as motivation for their upcoming match against Newcastle.
