Jude Bellingham to join Real Madrid this summer

Date:

According to reports from Spain, Jude Bellingham has agreed to join Real Madrid this summer. The 19-year-old midfielder has been a standout performer for Borussia Dortmund and has attracted interest from several top clubs. Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United were all reportedly interested in signing him, but Real Madrid has now finalized a contract with Bellingham that will see him sign until 2029. The report suggests that Liverpool and City are aware of Bellingham’s decision to join Madrid, which is why they have pulled out of the race. Although Madrid has yet to reach an agreement with Dortmund, they are expected to pay around €120 million (£105m) for Bellingham. Manchester United had come close to signing Bellingham in 2020, but Dortmund completed a €25m (£23m) deal with Birmingham City. During his time at Dortmund, Bellingham has scored 21 goals and registered 25 assists in 130 appearances. He helped Dortmund win the DFB-Pokal in his first season in Germany and could finish his time at the club by helping them win the Bundesliga this term.
