At the conclusion of an intense Edinburgh derby, Hearts secured a hard-fought draw against Hibernian to clinch fourth place in the Scottish Premiership and a spot in European competition. Despite being reduced to ten men in the first half, Hearts held on for a point which was enough to secure their place in the top four.
The match was a tense affair from start to finish, with both sides creating chances throughout. Hearts had the better of the first half and had a great chance to take the lead when Steven Naismith was brought down in the box. However, the penalty was saved by Ofir Marciano in the Hibs goal.
Things got worse for Hearts shortly after when they were reduced to ten men after a red card for Michael Smith. Despite this setback, Hearts continued to push forward and had several chances to take the lead.
The second half saw Hibs take control of the game and they had several chances to take the lead. However, Hearts’ defence held firm and they managed to keep a clean sheet.
