Voice of Football John Motson Leaves £488,000 in Will
The late John Motson, known as “Motty,” left behind an estate worth more than £488,000 when he passed away earlier this year. In his eight-page will, which he made in 2005, Motson designated his wife Anne, his son Frederick, and sister-in-law Susan Fielding as the beneficiaries of his estate.
The exact distribution of the estate among the beneficiaries is not specified in the will.
Motty, famous for his sheepskin coat and unparalleled knowledge of football statistics, which his wife Anne helped him compile, sadly passed away at the age of 77 in February. Throughout his career, he served as the voice of football for over 2,000 games, including 29 FA Cup finals and ten World Cup tournaments, while working for the BBC. He retired from the corporation in 2018 but later joined TalkSport radio.
