John Eustace Unlikely to Return as Manager at Bristol City
John Eustace, who was recently sacked by Birmingham, was initially considered a top candidate for the managerial position at Bristol City. However, it seems that Eustace will not be joining the Robins and expects another manager to be appointed instead.
Last week, Bristol City parted ways with manager Nigel Pearson after his team’s 2-0 loss to Cardiff. The defeat left Bristol City in 15th place in the Championship table.
Bristol City’s Interim Manager
Curtis Fleming has been appointed as the interim manager for Bristol City. In his first match in charge, Fleming led the team to a 1-0 victory over Rotherham. The winning goal was scored by Rob Dickie in the 64th minute, propelling Bristol City to tenth place in the table.
Fleming expressed his pride in the team’s performance, stating, “I’m really proud of the guys, they worked their socks off. We asked the lads to pass the ball more and they did that. There’s definitely things we need to work on but, for the week that we have had, you couldn’t have asked for anything more from the players, their work-rate, trying to do what you want them to do, getting the result and moving five places up the table. That’s the most important thing.”
