Reports suggest that despite a disappointing season at Nottingham Forest, Jesse Lingard may still have a chance to revive his career. The former Manchester United star moved to the City Ground on a free transfer last summer, rejecting an opportunity to reunite with David Moyes and West Ham, where he had a successful loan spell at the end of 2022. However, Lingard finds himself on the fringes of the matchday squad, having only made 17 appearances in the Premier League this season and failing to score for Steve Cooper’s side.
Despite this, Lingard has reportedly attracted interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce and clubs from the Middle East, who are willing to offer him a contract. Leicester are also said to be showing tentative interest ahead of a summer swoop, although they are likely to focus on a move for Lens star Lois Openda instead. If Lingard were to opt for a move to Turkey, he would be following in the footsteps of Dele Alli and Nathan Redmond, who have spent this season at Besiktas with differing levels of success.
