Jeff Stelling tips Arsenal to beat West Ham but predicts defeats for Man Utd and Chelsea this weekend

Jeff Stelling has backed Premier League leaders Arsenal to get back to winning ways against West Ham this weekend but predicted defeats for Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Gunners forfeited a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield last weekend and return to action on Sunday against London rivals West Ham.

Mikel Arteta’s side are six points ahead of Manchester City as they chase a first Premier League title since 2004, but cannot afford to drop many more points as Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand and play host to the Gunners on April 26.

West Ham have won two of their last three games to climb three points above the relegation zone but have largely struggled under David Moyes this term and drew 1-1 with Gent in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

Stelling expects Arsenal to maintain their six-point lead over Man City by beating the Hammers in east London but has predicted disappointing results for Manchester United and Chelsea.

United travel to relegation-battlers Nottingham Forest on Sunday off the back of a 2-2 Europa League draw with Sevilla, while Chelsea face in-form Brighton at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

Chelsea have not scored in their last four games and Frank Lampard’s appointment as caretaker manager has not had the desired effect, with the Blues losing to Wolves last weekend and to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports presenter Stelling has backed Tottenham to beat Bournemouth, Everton to secure a crucial win against Fulham and Manchester City to thump struggling Leicester City.

‘The title race continues with only six points in it, but I think it will stay that way with comfortable wins for Man City and Arsenal over strugglers Leicester and West Ham respectively,’ he told Sky Sports Super 6.

‘Elsewhere, Brighton will pick up a valuable three points in their quest for Europe against a Chelsea side who are winless in four and goalless in three.’

Jeff Stelling’s Super 6 predictions

Chelsea 1-2 Brighton

Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth

Everton 1-0 Fulham

Man City 4-1 Leicester City

West Ham 0-2 Arsenal

Nottingham Forest 1-0 Man Utd
