Jadon Sancho was seen telling Bruno Fernandes to ‘stop moaning’ during Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Sunday. Fernandes gave the hosts the lead after 39 minutes, finding the back of the net after Emiliano Martinez had spilled Marcus Rashford’s effort on goal. Sancho was the first United player over to celebrate with Fernandes after his opener, despite Fernandes’ earlier frustration. The Portugal international has faced criticism for some of his on-field antics this season, with former United captains Roy Keane and Gary Neville labelling his behaviour ‘a disgrace’ in March’s 7-0 defeat to Liverpool. Fernandes responded to Neville’s comments in an interview earlier this month, saying: ‘We all know pundits have to say something to keep their work. The more bad things they say, the more work they get, sometimes.’ He added: ‘Most of the things that were said after that game were complete lies. Because I waved my arms, they [assumed] that I said something that I didn’t say. The pundits always want to say something to get attention and credit from the people outside. Sometimes they say something to say.’
