MANCHESTER U . s . hero Lee Sharpe has backed Jadon Sancho to become a “great player” under Erik ten Hag.
Three-time Premier League champion Sharpe reckons Sancho, 22, can come good after battling to stay following his £73million change from Borussia Dortmund this past year.
Sancho’s poor form at club level saw him drop out of favour under England boss Gareth Southgate.
But Sharpe, speaking with respect to 888sport, said: “It had been a bit unfortunate for him last season, he arrived like a big signing, we understood the club have been chasing him for any couple of years a minimum of.
“In the future along with a large cost tag, and also to come in a team which was battling a bit and under huge pressure, I do not think the tempo from the team was sufficient for Sancho to create his best.
“He’s got unbelievable ability, great ft, good making decisions, can score goals in addition to create them. He’s got an incredible gift and i believe he’s likely to be an excellent player for U . s ..”

Sharpe, 51, believes United will obtain the best from Sancho once the gifted forward reaches his confident, marauding best.
For only scoring five goals last season Sancho already has two strikes in pre-season, suggesting his fortunes have switched.
Sharpe added: “He needs some confidence, some a run within the team. I understand he’d some an injuries problem this past year which wouldn’t have helped.
“And it appears as though this season the manager will have they playing some a greater tempo football, a bit greater in the pitch that we think will suit his game too.”

Sharpe also recognized Manchester U . s . for his or her transfer business under new gaffer Ten Hag.
Following a slow begin to the transfer window, U . s . have announced the signings of Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.
Ten Hag has additionally confirmed the club remain out to sign a forward.
Even though the Frenkie de Jong transfer saga rumbles on, Sharpe accepted he’d “love” to determine the midfielder sign for that club.
Sharpe stated on Ten Hag: “I believe he’s bought well. I believe (Christian) Eriksen has bought a little class, lots of experience.
“I believe the left-back they’ve bought can get Luke Shaw on his toes. I still think Luke Shaw on his day is among the that is better left-backs on the planet, but he just needs that pushing and little bit of extra motivation.”
“(Lisandro) Martinez I believe is a great signing, the manager knows him well. A ball-playing center-back that will clearly keep (Harry) Maguire and all of those other lads alert.
“I believe we’ll most likely see a couple of from the center-halves maybe leave too.

“And (Frenkie) De Jong, I’d like to see De Jong in the club. However that appears is the longest running saga I have seen for some time, so we’ll see where that pans out.”
