• Kelsey Plum, who played for Washington, previously held the record with 38 30-point games in 2017.
• If Clark achieves one more 30-plus point game, she will tie the overall NCAA record set by Antoine Davis of Detroit last season. With two more games, she will own the overall record.

Impressive Feat Against Top Opponents

What sets Clark’s record apart is the frequency with which she has achieved 30-plus point games against strong opponents. Notably, Clark’s first 30-point game occurred in only her second outing as a freshman, and she broke the record against Drake with a 35-point performance.

In her Iowa career, Clark has averaged 29.6 points per game against AP top-10 opponents, showcasing her ability to excel in high-pressure situations (per ESPN Stats & Info). In the season opener, she scored 44 points against then-No. 8 Virginia Tech.

Future Records to Break

With 40 games, Antoine Davis currently holds the overall NCAA record for 30-plus point outings during a career. It is highly likely that Clark will surpass this record in the coming weeks.

Kelsey Plum also holds the record for career scoring with 3,527 points. If Clark remains healthy throughout the season, she is expected to surpass this record by the end of the current season. As of now, Clark has accumulated 2,837 points.

Another record within reach for Clark is the most 3-pointers made during a four-year career, currently held by Kelsey Mitchell with 497. If Clark maintains her average of four to five 3-pointers per game over 30 games this season, she will be on track to break this record as well.

The single-game scoring record stands at 61 points, achieved by Lee in January 2022. Clark’s highest single-game total thus far is 46 points against Michigan during her sophomore year, indicating that she has the potential to challenge this record.
