David de Gea has revealed he is keen to end his career at Manchester United after providing an update on his contract situation.
The 32-year-old is set to become a free agent in the summer, though the Red Devils do have the option of tying him down to a further year.
Still, there have been huge question marks surrounding his future amid reports that United could look to replace him at the end of the season.
De Gea was brought in from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has been a key player for the club ever since.
And despite his current deal soon to expire, De Gea is feeling ‘relaxed’ over his situation as he stressed that United are ‘his club’.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News about his future, he said: “Yeah, I’m very relaxed.
“Just focus on training, perform as best as I can. But, for sure, it’s going to end in a good way.”
De Gea was then pressed about whether he was confident at seeing out the rest of his playing career at the Theatre of Dreams.

To which he said: “I hope so. I was saying this is my club, I’ve been here many, many years.
“And it’s a huge honour to be here and I’m so happy here.”
De Gea and United have been in good form as of late as the club look to cement a top four spot.
Since their return after the World Cup, the Red Devils have beaten Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Bournemouth in the Premier League.
De Gea has featured in all three games and has kept a clean sheet in each fixture with United sitting in fourth spot.
Commenting on the 3-0 win over the Cherries on Tuesday, De Gea remarked: “So happy. A massive three points for us.
“We controlled the game really well, just the last 15 or 20 minutes they had some good chances as well but probably the players feel a bit tired at the end.
“It was a bit difficult at the end but we controlled the game really well, we played well, a massive three points for us and I’m enjoying because some players, we changed two centre-backs today and they played really well, so the squad is ready to play.
“Everyone is ready, everyone is focused, everyone is training really well, everyone is in the same direction, so this is massive. It doesn’t matter who is playing.
“Even the subs , it doesn’t matter who came in, they put everything on the pitch, we have great team spirit and for me it’s great to see the players play in this way.”
