Manchester United Forward Rasmus Hojlund Delighted with First Premier League Goal
Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund expressed his joy after scoring his first Premier League goal, which secured a remarkable 3-2 comeback victory over Aston Villa. The team had trailed 2-0 at halftime but rallied in the second half to turn the tide.
Hojlund’s goal came in the 82nd minute from a corner, sealing all three points for United. The 20-year-old described himself as the “happiest man alive” and credited the team’s character and belief for the remarkable turnaround.
Having joined United from Atalanta for €75 million in the summer, Hojlund had already scored five goals in six Champions League group stage matches. However, it took him 15 appearances in the Premier League to find the back of the net.
The goals from Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho ended United’s four-game goal drought. Garnacho also expressed his happiness, emphasizing that the team’s strikers can indeed score goals.
The match against Aston Villa was United’s first since INEOS confirmed their 25 percent minority investment in the club. The win moved United up to sixth in the Premier League standings.
United will face Nottingham Forest in their next match on Saturday.
