Rob Holding had a dreadful north London derby as he gave Tottenham a penalty before being sent off to leave Arsenal in disarray.

The defender has been guilty of playing the occasion rather than the game as he was given two yellow cards for challenges on Heung-min Son.

But has lost it resoundingly having received two yellow cards inside the opening 33 minutes

The first was brandished after he deliberately held Spurs’ South Korean star back on the attack. And on 33 minutes he received his second yellow for a deliberate barge of Son again.

In between that, Holding was responsible for his side going behind as he Tottenham were given a penalty after Holding tripped Son over in the box. Harry Kane scored from the resulting spot-kick.

talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams labelled Holding ‘stupid’ and ‘idiotic’ when describing the second yellow card.

Meanwhile, Gary Neville said: “It’s madness from Holding. He’s been erractic, he’s lacked composure, and he’s off.

“Son played Holding like a little boy.”

Spurs are firmly in charge of the derby with Kane adding another moments after Holding was given his marching orders.
