Harry Kane has already provided more assists at the World Cup for England than he has all season for Tottenham.
The striker was on hand to help the Three Lions to a 6-2 win against Iran in their opening game of the tournament.
England went into half-time three goals up against their Group B opponents as Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling all scored.
Saka got a second before Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish netted off the bench in the second half as the Three Lions ran rampant, despite a consolation brace from Mehdi Taremi.
Kane didn’t net but assisted two of his side’s goals at the Khalifa International Stadium.
The first, an excellent cross, allowed Sterling to nudge home an inventive finish.
And the second was a lovely pass for Rashford following a superb twist away from his marker.
This, in just 76 minutes, is already better than his record for Spurs in the Premier League this season.
