Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola Uncertain About Erling Haaland’s Foot Injury
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed uncertainty regarding the duration of Erling Haaland’s absence due to a foot injury. The Norwegian striker, who has been a key player for City this season, was not included in the squad for their recent Premier League match against Luton Town.
When asked about Haaland’s injury, Guardiola revealed, “He has a bone stress reaction in his foot. He felt it after the last game against Aston Villa and is unable to play.”
Haaland currently leads the top-flight scoring chart with 14 goals in the Premier League and has scored a total of 19 goals in all competitions for Manchester City. Guardiola admitted that Haaland’s presence has been crucial for the team but emphasized the need to adapt to injuries and other challenges that arise throughout the season.
Guardiola added, “We will have to wait and see how long the injury will last. We will assess it week by week and day by day.”
Manchester City has experienced a dip in form recently, with three draws and a defeat in their last four Premier League matches. However, they remain determined to overcome these setbacks and continue their pursuit of success.
