Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood received a straight red card for dissent during Getafe’s La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano. The incident occurred just after half time, with Getafe trailing 2-0.
Greenwood was sent off after appealing for a foul and shouting at the referee. The official immediately showed him a red card and pointed to the dugout. This dismissal left Getafe with only nine players on the field.
Earlier in the match, Juanmi Latasa was sent off in the 40th minute after receiving a second yellow card. Getafe’s situation worsened in the second half when Damian Suarez also saw red, reducing the team to eight players.
Rayo Vallecano took the lead just before half time with a goal from Sergio Camello. The striker then scored again shortly after the break, doubling his team’s advantage.
Greenwood had started the match on the right wing before being sent off.
