West Ham are close to wrapping up a double deal to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo and Eintracht Frankfurt defender Filip Kostic, talkSPORT understands.
The Hammers are in the closing stages of signing off both deals, with Italian striker Scamacca due in London for his medical this week after agreeing a £35million fee, including add-ons, with his Serie A club.
The 23-year-old frontman, who has been described as being ‘built for the Premier League’ is poised to sign a five-year contract with the Hammers.
Scamacca is a former Arsenal target who has earned comparisons to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and is set to join West Ham on the back of scoring 16 goals in 36 games in Serie A last season.
The young striker has seven caps for his country, but is yet to get off the mark for the Azzurri.
Meanwhile, it is understood the Hammers are also discussing personal terms with Frankfurt’s Europa League winning wing-back Filip Kostic.
The 29-year-old Serbian star has been identified as an alternative to Hoffenheim’s David Raum, who is set to join fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
West Ham boss David Moyes is keen to bolster his wing-back options, and he seeks competition for Aaron Cresswell.

Kostic impressed for Frankfurt against the Hammers in their Europa League semi-final clash, with the Germans progressing to the final and beating Rangers on penalties to lift the cup.
The player may not be a natural fit at full-back, but he featured regularly as a winger for the Germans and is versatile, meaning he can also play at left-back as well as further forward when needed.
Kostic has one year left on his current Frankfurt deal and West Ham could land him for a cut-price fee.
Moyes had been running the rule over Hoffenheim’s Raum, but the club are not prepared to pay the £30m asking price.
The Hammers have already been busy this summer with three new arrivals at the club.
Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has made his loan move permanent from Paris Saint-Germain, Flynn Downes has joined from Swansea, and centre-back Nayef Aguerd was brought in from Rennes.
However, the Hammers have already been dealt a blow with Aguerd recently limping off as the Hammers fell to a 3-1 pre-season defeat against Rangers at Ibrox, with the defender set to be out for two-months.
Jesse Lingard was also a target for Moyes, but the midfielder joined Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest instead.
West Ham were not prepared to meet the players’ wage demands, but could still bring in further additions.
Talks are being held over moves for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, while it appears a deal for Scamacca could see the Hammers end their pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
The east London side are next in action when they make the trip to France to take on RC Lens in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 30.
Moyes’ men then face the daunting task of facing defending champions Man City in their Premier League opener on Sunday, August 7.
