Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund Discuss Loan Move for Jadon Sancho
Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are currently in talks regarding a potential loan move for Jadon Sancho. The Bundesliga club is eager to reunite with the 23-year-old player, who made an €85 million transfer to Old Trafford in July 2021.
Details about the extent of Dortmund’s salary coverage are yet to be determined as negotiations continue.
Sancho’s Absence from Manchester United’s First Team
Since September, Jadon Sancho has been training separately from Manchester United’s first team. This separation came after a dispute with manager Erik ten Hag, where Sancho refused to apologize.
The disagreement stemmed from Ten Hag’s claim that Sancho was not included in the matchday squad for the 3-1 defeat against Arsenal due to his poor performances in training. Sancho, on the other hand, felt that he had been unfairly targeted as a scapegoat.
Sancho’s refusal to apologize resulted in his exclusion from first-team training and his subsequent absence from selection. His last appearance for Manchester United was in the victory over Nottingham Forest on August 26.
Sancho’s Successful Stint at Borussia Dortmund
Jadon Sancho had a remarkable four-year spell at Borussia Dortmund from 2017 to 2021. During this time, he achieved significant success, including winning the German Supercup and DFB-Pokal.
Since joining Manchester United, Sancho has made 82 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals.
As discussions between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund progress, the possibility of a loan move for Jadon Sancho remains on the table. Both clubs are working towards a resolution that benefits all parties involved.
