Fulham Vice-Chairman Open to Selling Star Player to Top Clubs
Fulham’s vice-chairman, Tony Khan, has opened up about the possibility of selling their star defensive midfielder, Joao Palhinha, to top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea. Palhinha, who has completed the most tackles in the Premier League this season, has been a standout player for the Cottagers since his £20 million move to Craven Cottage in 2022.
Khan has stated that while they value Palhinha highly and extended his contract until 2028, they would consider selling him if the right offer came along. The club is reportedly holding out for £60 million for the Portuguese international, who has attracted interest from Bayern Munich as well.
Despite Palhinha’s importance to Fulham, Khan emphasized that every player’s value can grow, leading to potential offers from other clubs. He praised Palhinha’s impact on the team and expressed his excitement about working with manager Marco Silva to build a strong squad.
Unfortunately for Fulham fans, Palhinha will miss their upcoming match against Manchester United due to suspension after accumulating his 10th yellow card of the season. However, his absence on the pitch has not dampened the interest from top clubs in acquiring his services.
With Palhinha’s future at Fulham uncertain, it remains to be seen if he will make a move to one of the Premier League giants vying for his signature. Fans will have to wait and see how this transfer saga unfolds in the coming months.
