Fulham become first Prem club to benefit from Fifa’s Ukraine war rule after change in Shakhtar’s Manor Solomon

FULHAM have grown to be the very first Premier League club to benefit from FIFA’s ruling allowing players in Ukraine to suspend their contracts among world war 2.

The Cottagers have arrived Israeli forward Manor Solomon from Shakthar Donetsk on the one-year deal.

In June, FIFA made the decision to increase its ruling which enables foreign players and coaches located in Ukraine to suspend their contracts.

The present deal implies that Solomon is presently expected to go back to Donetsk in June 2023 – though Fulham could then strike a brand new agreement using the club to increase his stay.

Included in the ruling, Fulham must hold back until August 1 to join up Solomon, though he’s been training together with his new team-mates and became a member of them around the pre-season visit to Portugal.

Solomon stated: “I’m really happy and happy to be around at Fulham and that i can’t wait to have the special atmosphere at Craven Cottage.

“There are a few great players here and i’m going to help Fulham achieve its goals for that year.

“I should also send a large hug to my buddies and supporters in Ukraine. You’re in my ideas.”

Foreign players in Ukraine were initially permitted to suspend their deals from March – when Russia’s invasion started – but many Leagues banned the appearance of players outdoors from the transfer window.

Southampton and Leicester held talks to usher in Solomon’s team-mate Tete last season but were blocked through the Premier League‘s decision.

The Brazilian were left with French side Lyon after Ligue 1 permitted its clubs to benefit from the ruling.

Solomon is Fulham’s third signing from the summer time after Joao Palhinha and Andreas Pereira, with Swiss right-back Kevin Mbabu set to participate from Wolfsburg after finishing his medical over the past weekend.
