The European football transfer market is abuzz with speculation as several clubs make moves to strengthen their squads. German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing England striker Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. The 29-year-old is said to prefer staying in the Premier League, however, and Manchester United are considered favourites to secure his signature.
Brighton’s 24-year-old Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is also in demand, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United all reportedly interested in his services. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are said to be ready to make a bid for England defender Reece James, 23, should Chelsea be forced to sell players this summer.
Barcelona expect Chelsea to make another attempt to sign Brazil winger Raphinha, 26, while France forward Kylian Mbappe, 24, has stated that his next career goal is to win the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain. Spain forward Ansu Fati, 20, has also expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona despite interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Manchester City and Chelsea have both sent scouts to watch Monaco’s France defender Axel Disasi, 25, while Chelsea are confident of reaching an agreement with England midfielder Mason Mount, 24, over a new contract. Fulham are also looking to bolster their squad with the addition of Porto’s Colombia midfielder Mateus Uribe, 32, as a replacement for Portugal international Joao Palhinha, 27, who is a target for Manchester United. Finally, Colombia midfielder James Rodriguez, 31, is now a free agent after agreeing to terminate his contract at Greek side Olympiacos.
It looks set to be an exciting summer of transfers as clubs across Europe look to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
