Arsenal kept their Women’s Super League title hopes alive with a 1-0 victory over Leicester City, thanks to a magnificent second-half strike from Frida Maanum. The Gunners moved to within six points of league leaders Manchester United, with a game in hand.
The first half was a tight affair, with neither side able to break the deadlock. However, it was Arsenal who made the breakthrough in the second half, as Maanum fired home a stunning effort from outside the box to give the Gunners the lead.
Leicester pushed for an equaliser, but Arsenal held firm and secured the three points. The victory keeps Arsenal in the hunt for the WSL title, with just six points separating them from Manchester United at the top of the table.
