Erling Haaland channels Zlatan Ibrahimovic with remarkable acrobatic volley in win over Union Berlin – Haaland now has more goals scored than games played for Borussia Dortmund

Erling Haaland scored an acrobatic goal that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would’ve been very proud of to seal Borussia Dortmund’s 4-2 win over Union Berlin on Saturday.

The Norwegian machine has now scored a total of 68 goals for BVB – more than the number of games he’s played for the club (67).

It was Raphael Guerreiro who opened the scoring inside ten minutes for Dortmund on Sunday with a sumptuous strike of his own.

Then, unsurprisingly, Haaland doubled the lead.

The 21-year-old headed home on the end of a cross from Thomas Meunier.

A Marvin Friedrich own goal put BVB 3-0 up early in the second half, but then a fightback ensued.

Max Kruse slotted home a penalty on 57 minutes.

Andreas Voglsammer headed in a corner to make it 3-2 with nine minutes remaining.

In response, Haaland produced something quite magnificent.

With the ball out wide on the left and Andreas Luthe off his line, he successfully executed an exquisite lobbed volley which put the game to bed.

Although significantly closer to goal, it brought back memories of Ibra’s famous finish against England and appears to be another sign of the bright future many predict for Haaland.
