Reports suggest that Manchester United is looking to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund alongside Harry Kane in the upcoming transfer window. United’s manager Erik ten Hag has made it clear that the club is in the market for a new striker, with Kane being their top target. However, Ten Hag is also keen to sign an up-and-coming forward to bolster their attacking options. Hojlund is on United’s shortlist and could be available for around £40 million this summer. The 20-year-old has scored eight goals in his first season in Italy and has also impressed at international level, scoring five goals in four appearances for Denmark so far. Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini admitted that the Serie A club could struggle to keep Hojlund for another season as top European clubs generally swoop in with offers that are hard to turn down. Meanwhile, Ten Hag insists United is working hard in the background ahead of the summer transfer window.
