Erik ten Hag: Goals Are All That Rasmus Hojlund Thinks About
Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, has said that goals are ‘all that Rasmus Hojlund thinks about’ and that he has all the attributes to succeed at Old Trafford. Ten Hag made signing a striker a priority following a debut campaign at the club where his side struggled in front of goal.
Hojlund is currently injured and weeks away from match fitness, but Ten Hag says Hojlund is a traditional centre forward that has ‘huge’ potential. ‘He is a real front man,’ said Ten Hag. ‘Very direct through the goal. Very good presser. Physical presence. In the balance of this squad, we needed that.’
The likes of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes have bemoaned United’s charity in front of goal. Ten Hag admits the team have been desperate to sign a centre forward and they’ve found one in Hojlund. ‘The team were hoping for a type like him [Hojlund]. But the player has to prove it,’ said the Dutchman. ‘We need hungry players and he [Hojlund] is a player who is so determined to score goals and win games and trophies.’

Rasmus Hojlund is a player with huge potential and Manchester United fans will be hoping he can live up to that potential. He has all the attributes to be a success at Old Trafford and he will be looking to make an impact when he returns from injury.
Ten Hag believes Hojlund is the type of striker the team have been looking for and he will be hoping that Hojlund can help the team to more success in the coming years. The 20-year-old Dane will be looking to make an impact in front of goal and help Manchester United to more trophies.
