But there was for concern for the England skipper during the rout when he required medical treatment at the start of the second half.

Kane appeared to have rolled his ankle after being on the receiving end of a strong challenge from Morteza Pouraliganji.

After a couple of minutes he was back to his feet, but was taken off by manager Gareth Southgate in the 75th minute as a precaution ahead of Friday’s clash with USA.

And in a sight that England fans won’t like to see, Kane walked away with his ankle bandaged up.

Journalist David Ornstein shared snaps of the striker limping through the mixed zone where media wait to talk to players after games.

Though in a boost for England, it appears Kane has escaped any serious injury.

Southgate commented on Kane’s potential injury, where he played down any fears he could miss the upcoming games with USA and Wales.

He said: “I think Harry’s fine.

“It looked like a bad tackle but he carried on in the game.

“We took him off because we felt it was a moment in the game we could do that.”

And Southgate has also provided an update on Harry Maguire, after the Manchester United defender was taken off in the second half.

Maguire was taken off for Eric Dier with 20 minutes to play after being checked over by medics.

    Southgate said: “He felt ill.

“At the stage of the game we were at, we thought there is no point taking any chances.”
