Emre Can Excited for Jadon Sancho’s Return to Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Can expressed his happiness at the prospect of Jadon Sancho rejoining the club. Can believes that Sancho can be a “difference-maker” for Dortmund. Sancho, who was banished from the Manchester United first-team in August, is set to leave the club and return to Dortmund on a six-month loan deal.
United had initially wanted to offload Sancho permanently, but they changed their stance due to a lack of serious interest. As part of the loan deal, Dortmund will pay a modest loan fee and only a portion of Sancho’s salary. The deal is close to completion, with Sancho hoping to join Dortmund on their training camp in Marbella next week.
Sancho spent four successful years at Dortmund before his move to Manchester United. In his final season with Dortmund, he scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists, helping the club win the German Cup. However, he has struggled to replicate that form during his time at United, with only 12 goals and six assists to his name.
Despite his struggles, Can is looking forward to linking up with Sancho again. He believes that Sancho’s talent and ability to make a difference on the pitch will be valuable for Dortmund. Can stated that he thinks highly of Sancho and believes that he will help the team if he joins.
Sancho has faced questions about his attitude and application throughout his career. He refused to apologize to his manager, Erik ten Hag, following a public outburst in August. Can himself had previously advised Sancho to “grow up” after breaking Germany’s lockdown rules. However, Can now believes that Sancho is maturing and improving in that aspect.
In conclusion, Emre Can is excited about the potential return of Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund. Can believes that Sancho’s presence will make a difference for the team and is looking forward to playing alongside him again.
