He’s currently in hospital in the intensive care unit and is in a stable condition. Once there is more concrete information, an update will follow. Everyone at Ajax wishes Edwin a speedy recovery. Van der Sar’s Professional Career
Edwin van der Sar began his professional career at Ajax and made over 300 appearances for the Amsterdam club before moving to Juventus in 1999. After just two seasons there was a surprise move to Fulham where he spent four Premier League campaigns before being signed by Manchester United.
The Dutch legend went on to make 266 appearances for the Red Devils, winning four Premier League titles and the Champions League. The iconic goalkeeper also made 130 appearances for Netherlands from 1995-2008.
