Reports in Germany suggest that Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the summer transfer window. The Bundesliga club may need to sell Jude Bellingham, who has attracted interest from several European clubs, at the end of the season. Additionally, Dortmund confirmed that Mahmoud Dahoud will leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires, which increases their need for a new central midfielder. Although Dortmund has not approached Chelsea yet, Gallagher is on their shortlist, and Chelsea may be open to selling him due to their inflated squad. The transfer fee is anticipated to be around €50 million (£44.2m). Gallagher has started three of Chelsea’s four matches under Frank Lampard and was praised by the manager after their 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton earlier this month. However, he will face strong competition for a place at Chelsea, with Lampard describing Enzo Fernandez as “the future” of the club. Fernandez was signed from Benfica in January for €121m (£106.8m).
