“Don’t come to Stamford Bridge” – Thiago Silva’s wife hits out at booing Chelsea fans after Man City loss

Belle Silva, the wife of Thiago Silva, has criticised booing Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge after losing to Manchester City.

The Blues were handed another damaging result in the Premier League after a 1-0 defeat to City on Thursday night, where Riyad Mahrez scored the only goal of the game.

It saw Chelsea remain 10th in the Premier League and 10 points off a spot in the top-four while their shocking form stretched to one win in eight league matches.

And it is no surprise to see fans unhappy with the current state of affairs while boos started to be heard around Stamford Bridge in the second-half against City.

Silva’s wife was less than impressed with the boo boys from her usual seat at the Chelsea stadium and took to social media immediately.

She posted a video of the booing, captioned: “Don’t come to Stamford Bridge if you’re not singing. Come on Chelsea.”

Manager Graham Potter has come under pressure from sections of the Chelsea fanbase for a turgid start to life as Blues boss.

However, club owner Todd Boehly is set to stick with the ex-Brighton coach having handed him a five-year contract in September and forking out £20million to prise him away from the Amex Stadium.

After the match, Potter told Chelsea fans that they must be patient while the Blues have been stricken by injuries in recent weeks.

“You have to take responsibility when we’re not playing well but at the same time you hope people look at the whole context in terms of what we’ve had to deal with,” said Potter.

“Emotions are high. We’ll try to ride out the storm and I think the crowd appreciated the performance and were behind the team tonight.

“Our supporters were fantastic and got behind the team in a great way.”

Mason Mount was injured before kick-off against City while Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisiic trudged off with injuries as well, adding to a list of players sidelined including Reece James, Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Wesley Fofana and Armando Broja.

Chelsea will have the chance to exact revenge on Pep Guardiola’s men on Sunday when they face City at the Etihad in the FA Cup.
