ARSENAL ace Emile Smith Rowe appeared to have picked up an injury during the team’s warm-down at Old Trafford.
Smith Rowe, 22, came on from the bench after 74 minutes during the Gunners’ 3-1 loss to Manchester United and stayed for a practice session after the final whistle.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the attacking midfielder sustained an injury while working out with the rest of the substitutes.
It was added that the England international looked “distressed” as he was accompanied to the back by assistant coach Carlos Cuesta.
Ornstein shared several pictures of the incident at the Theatre of Dreams after United‘s victory.
And Smith Rowe looked distressed as he made his way back to the dressing room.
Smith Rowe recently came back from a groin injury he sustained during pre-season.
The playmaker has still managed to play in four out of six Premier League matches for Arsenal.
That is after the versatile midfielder enjoyed a brilliant campaign last season with a total of 11 goals and two assists in 37 appearances.
Smith Rowe has yet to make claim to the starting line-up with manager Mikel Arteta forming a strong quartet up front.
