Kevin De Bruyne Appears as Songwriter on Drake’s New Album

The song credits included A.Graham (Drake), A.Mamam (Producer The Alchemist), and K. De Bruyne.

De Bruyne, known for his assists on the football field, playfully shared the song details on Twitter, jokingly stating, “Drake needed an assist.” However, he quickly clarified that he was not involved in the song’s creation, stating, “All jokes aside, it’s not me! Huge fan though!”

Although De Bruyne has been out of action due to a hamstring injury since August, he has been photographed with Drake in the past. This unexpected connection between the football star and the rap icon left fans amused and speculating about De Bruyne’s potential career move.

Reactions from Fans

Fans took to social media to express their thoughts on De Bruyne’s apparent involvement in Drake’s album:

  • “Assisting as usual.”
  • “Assists on and off the pitch!!! I prayed for times like this.”
  • “Man is everywhere, assisting both on and off the pitch.”
  • “Assisting Haaland on the field and Drake off the field.”

Despite the excitement surrounding De Bruyne’s unexpected connection to the music industry, his focus remains on his recovery. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola emphasized that the club will not rush De Bruyne’s return to ensure a full recovery.

Guardiola stated, “He says he feels really good, but still isn’t training or running much. I’d say he’s the last one [of the club’s injured stars] to come back and train with us. We don’t put pressure, the doctors say next step. No pressure, recover, it’s not necessary to make bad decisions to come back early. Step by step.”
