David Moyes updates Declan Rice’s future amidst Arsenal and Chelsea interest.

Date:

West Ham United manager David Moyes has revealed that the club is preparing for life without Declan Rice, amid rumours of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. The 24-year-old midfielder is expected to leave his boyhood club this summer as West Ham looks to cash in on their captain and defensive midfielder, whose contract is set to expire. While Chelsea had been the favourites to sign Rice, Arsenal has emerged as a surprise frontrunner for his signature. Moyes admitted that Rice is an important player and would be missed by any club, but he hopes that Rice will stay at West Ham if the right amount of money is not offered. The club is reportedly looking for around £100m for the England star.
