Although his contract is set to expire in a month, he is expected to sign a new deal before the summer transfer window opens. Despite being the highest earner at Old Trafford, with a weekly salary of £375,000, De Gea is anticipated to accept a significant pay cut to remain at the club. Starting in July, he will earn £200,000 per week, which is almost half of his previous earnings. However, according to The Daily Mail, the goalkeeper has accumulated enough money to cover the losses. De Gea has saved £20 million in the firm he uses to hold his image rights cash, called Bedamarse Limited. He joined Man Utd in 2011 from Atletico Madrid and has made 539 appearances for the Red Devils. However, reports suggest that Erik ten Hag is interested in signing a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, which could cause De Gea to fall down the pecking order from next season. United is reportedly considering signing Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, who has a £9 million release clause. Additionally, Ten Hag is interested in signing David Raya from Brentford, who has yet to sign a new deal with the Bees.
