David Beckham Offers David de Gea a Chance to Join Inter Miami
Former Manchester United player David Beckham has reportedly extended an offer to David de Gea to join his Inter Miami team in the MLS.
De Gea’s Free Agent Status
It comes as a shock that De Gea is still a free agent after leaving Manchester United over the summer. The club decided against offering him a new contract, leaving him without a team.
Interest from Other Clubs
Since leaving Old Trafford, De Gea has received and declined several offers from clubs such as the Saudi Pro League and Inter Milan. However, he prefers a return to La Liga, but only Real Betis and Valencia have shown interest. De Gea is hesitant to join them as they cannot match his previous £350,000-a-week contract with United.
Beckham’s Persuasion
According to the Daily Star, Beckham is quietly optimistic about convincing De Gea to join Inter Miami in the MLS. Beckham previously made headlines by signing Lionel Messi, and he believes he can pull off another major transfer coup.
Joining Inter Miami would also allow De Gea to reunite with his former Spain teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
Potential MLS Move
If De Gea decides to join Miami, he would have time to make the move as the MLS season is set to start in February or March 2024.
