Darren Bent suggests Liverpool sign new midfielder as Trent Alexander-Arnold is fit for top teams.

Date:

Former England international Darren Bent has warned Liverpool against letting go of Trent Alexander-Arnold, stating that every top team in the world would want him. Bent’s comments come after Liverpool’s exit from the Champions League against Real Madrid, with club legend Jamie Carragher suggesting that Liverpool should sign a new right-back. Carragher believes that while Alexander-Arnold has won everything and done fantastically well, he needs help and should consider his position at the end of the season.

However, Bent believes that Liverpool should not let go of Alexander-Arnold, despite his poor form this season. He argues that recruitment in midfield is needed to get the best out of him. Bent suggests that Liverpool needs a holding midfielder to protect Alexander-Arnold, as Fabinho, who used to do it really well, is no longer providing the necessary protection. He believes that if Liverpool gets another holding midfielder and protects Alexander-Arnold, he could be an asset to any team in the world.

Bent also suggests that Alexander-Arnold could play for any top team in the world, including Real Madrid and Barcelona. He argues that if Pep Guardiola got hold of him in Manchester City, he would be unbelievable. Despite his recent struggles, Alexander-Arnold is still a valuable player, and Liverpool should not let him go.

Alexander-Arnold has struggled to deal with Madrid’s Vinicius Jr in recent games, and Liverpool may spend big on a new midfielder in the summer. Jude Bellingham has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, and if he joins Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold is likely to flourish alongside him.

In conclusion, Bent warns Liverpool against letting go of Alexander-Arnold, as every top team in the world would want him. Liverpool needs to recruit a holding midfielder to protect him and get the best out of him. If Liverpool can provide the necessary protection, Alexander-Arnold could be an asset to any team in the world.
