Former Tottenham left-back Danny Rose has revealed details of a recent chat with Harry Kane and believes the striker will ask to leave the club ‘if the right team comes in’. The England skipper has enjoyed an excellent individual season, netting in a record-equalling 24th Premier League match against Aston Villa on Saturday – though Spurs fell to a 2-1 defeat and are at risk of missing out on a place in Europe altogether next season. Kane is out of contract in 2024 and attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich, and Rose is convinced his time at Tottenham is coming to an end. Rose revealed that he texted Kane 10 days ago and asked him what was happening, to which Kane did not give too much away. However, Rose then spoke to Kane after the Manchester United game and believes that Daniel Levy does not hold the cards with Kane at the moment. Rose believes that if the right team comes in for Kane, he will ask to leave. He also believes that Kane could score 45 goals if he was at Manchester City, but does not think that a move to Manchester United guarantees him trophies. Rose suggests that if Kane does not like any of his options, he should run down his contract for a year and see if Real Madrid want to take him on a free transfer.
