Reports suggest that Crystal Palace is interested in signing Chelsea’s young star Lewis Hall on loan. Hall was named Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year last Sunday and has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disastrous season for the club. Despite finishing 12th in the Premier League, one place below Palace, Hall made 11 appearances for the senior team and looked very promising, especially in recent games against Manchester City and Manchester United. The Daily Mail reports that Palace is exploring the possibility of taking him on loan next season, as he is capable of playing both as a left-back and central midfielder, two positions the south London side needs to strengthen. Although Hall is greatly admired at Stamford Bridge, a loan move would help his development as it is not known how much game time new manager Mauricio Pochettino will afford him. Palace is also on the hunt for their new manager, with former Chelsea boss Graham Potter linked to the job.
