Cristiano Ronaldo hits back at Wayne Rooney following former Manchester United teammate’s criticism in talkSPORT interview – ‘I’m still playing… and I’m looking better’

Cristiano Ronaldo hit back at Wayne Rooney after his former teammate warned him not to be an ‘unwanted distraction’ at Manchester United.

The Portuguese superstar spoke out against United and manager Erik ten Hag in a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, where he also responded to recent criticism from Rooney when he spoke to talkSPORT last week.

Rooney urged Ronaldo not to be an ‘unwanted distraction’ at Man United… but it appears he didn’t listen

Rooney joined the talkSPORT Breakfast on Friday and offered his verdict on his old friend, saying Ronaldo’s behaviour this season has been ‘unacceptable’.

“I don’t know why he criticises me so badly… probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level,” Ronaldo told Morgan.

“I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him. Which is true…”
