Goodbye Mason Mount: Trevoh Chalobah’s Emotional Farewell to Chelsea Teammate

Trevoh Chalobah is sad to see his long-time Chelsea teammate and friend Mason Mount leave the club, with the midfielder agreeing a move to Manchester United. He came through those ranks alongside Chalobah, also playing for England at a range of youth levels and both graduated to the Chelsea first team in recent years. It’s been a long journey together for the pair and Chalobah is sad to see Mount leave west London, posting on Twitter, ‘My boy’ followed by crying and heartbroken emojis.
Callum Hudson-Odoi’s Future
Mount is part of a significant clear-out at Chelsea over the summer as they trim their bloated squad in preparation for Mauricio Pochettino finally starting work as manager on Monday. Another player who came through the ranks, Callum Hudson-Odoi, is likely to move on after spending last season on loan in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen. The 22-year-old did not make much impression on the Bundesliga, making 14 league appearances without scoring a goal.
