Former Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran has been released by MK Dons after the club decided not to retain him following their relegation to League Two. The 30-year-old was once seen as the future of Chelsea and was tipped to replace Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge. However, he spent most of his time at the club out on loan, playing for Swansea, Middlesbrough, Watford, Wigan and Vitesse before joining Brentford on a permanent deal in 2015. Despite being highly rated by former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, McEachran’s career fizzled out under Andre Villas-Boas. He has now been released by MK Dons and is looking for a new club.
