Chelsea will need to produce one of the finest European nights in their history if they are to rescue their Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid. The Blues were beaten 2-0 by the defending champions in Spain last week, courtesy of goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio, to leave their European dreams hanging by a thread. A monumental effort will therefore be required from the west Londoners to bring themselves back from the brink, but Frank Lampard will not give up on masterminding a miraculous comeback despite having tasted defeat in each of his three games since returning to the club. The game will kick-off on Tuesday, April 18 at 8pm and will be shown live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate, with coverage getting underway at 7pm on both channels. BT customers will also be able to watch a live stream of the fixture with the BT Sport app and web player. Fans without BT can still catch Chelsea vs Real Madrid by purchasing a BT Sport monthly pass for £29.99, which provides access to a live stream through the web player. BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT will have live radio commentary of the match in the UK, with both stations beginning their pre-match build-up at 7pm. Ben Chilwell is suspended having been shown a red card for bringing down Rodrygo just outside the box in the first leg at the Bernabeu. Kalidou Koulibaly picked up a hamstring injury in the Spanish capital last week and Lampard has confirmed the Senegalese defender will be absent for the clash at Stamford Bridge. Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante could return after being rested for the 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the weekend, as could fellow substitutes Reece James, Joao Felix and Mateo Kovacic. Real Madrid, who beat Cadiz 2-0 in La Liga on Saturday, are likely to only be without left back Ferland Mendy.
