Chelsea Secures Sleeve Sponsorship Deal with BingX
Chelsea Football Club has recently announced a sleeve sponsorship deal with BingX, a prominent cryptocurrency company. As part of the agreement, BingX’s logo will be featured on Chelsea’s kits for the remainder of the season. Additionally, BingX will extend its sponsorship to appear on the front of the Premier League club’s training kits in the 2024-25 season.
The official launch of the new sleeve sponsorship deal is expected to take place during Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg match against Middlesbrough on January 9. This partnership aims to enhance the club’s commercial revenue and strengthen its brand presence.
While Infinite Athlete will continue as Chelsea’s current front-of-shirt sponsor for the current season, they will transition to the training kit sleeve in the next campaign. The identity of Chelsea’s front-of-shirt sponsors for the 2024-25 season is yet to be confirmed, as well as the sleeve sponsors for future seasons. However, discussions were held with representatives from Saudi state airline Riyadh Air last year, indicating potential interest in a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal.
BingX, founded in 2018, is a reputable cryptocurrency exchange serving over 10 million users worldwide. This partnership with Chelsea Football Club will provide BingX with increased visibility and exposure to a global audience.
In July 2023, Chelsea faced a temporary absence of a front-of-shirt sponsor after their previous three-year deal with telecommunications network 3 UK expired. Initially, the club pursued sponsorship from Paramount Plus, a U.S. streaming service, but the proposal was rejected by the Premier League due to concerns about conflicts with existing broadcast partners. Discussions with Stake, a gambling company, also faced resistance from fans, leading to unsuccessful negotiations. Another potential contender for the front-of-shirt sponsorship was Kaiyun Sports, a betting website that recently signed a deal with Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea’s partnership with BingX signifies a new chapter in the club’s commercial endeavors. With the cryptocurrency company’s logo prominently displayed on their kits, Chelsea aims to strengthen its financial position and continue its success both on and off the field.
