Chelsea Player Slams ‘False’ Transfer Rumors After Victory Over Crystal Palace

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has vehemently denied recent rumors suggesting that he wants to leave the club. The Argentine, who joined Chelsea from Benfica for a whopping £107m last year, has faced criticism for failing to live up to his high price tag. However, he silenced his critics with a stunning free-kick goal against Aston Villa last week and continued his impressive form in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Putting an end to the speculation surrounding his future, Fernandez expressed his commitment to the club. He stated, “I think I made it very clear that the rumors weren’t real. I don’t know where they came from. They had talked on social media, I think, something like that. It’s a total lie, I don’t want to leave Chelsea, I’m happy here.”

The midfielder went on to praise his teammates, the coaching staff, and everyone involved with the club. He emphasized his gratitude for the warm welcome he received upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge. Fernandez stated, “From the first day I arrived, they treated me wonderfully, and I am very grateful. Regardless of what happens in football, I am grateful to be able to play here.”

Fernandez concluded his statement by assuring fans that he intends to remain at Chelsea for as long as they want him. He said, “I am happy here at Chelsea and I will continue as long as they want me here. Okay?”

Chelsea’s victory over Crystal Palace was crucial in maintaining their hopes of qualifying for European competitions. The Blues currently sit seven points behind sixth-placed Manchester United.

In other Chelsea-related news, Mauricio Pochettino praised a Chelsea star and highlighted a key tactical adjustment that aided their comeback win. Additionally, Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher publicly apologized for scoring a 91st-minute goal, and Petr Cech criticized goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic for an error in the Crystal Palace match.

As the transfer window approaches, false rumors can often create unnecessary turmoil for both players and clubs. Fernandez’s response serves as a reminder that not everything reported should be taken at face value. With his commitment to Chelsea clear, fans can look forward to seeing more impressive performances from the talented midfielder.
