Chelsea’s Levi Colwill Accuses VAR of Bias Against Him
Chelsea star Levi Colwill believes that VAR has a personal agenda against him following a frustrating match against Manchester United on Wednesday.
Disappointing Loss for Chelsea
The Blues were hoping to build on their recent victory over Brighton, but instead suffered a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford. Scott McTominay scored both goals for the hosts, leaving Chelsea in 10th place in the Premier League table and 11 points away from the top four.
Colwill’s Accusations
After the match, Levi Colwill, a defender for Chelsea, expressed his frustration with VAR due to two separate incidents – one against Brighton and the other against Manchester United. He stated, “VAR has something against me right now, I don’t know what I’ve done to them. Against Brighton, they tried to give a penalty, and then when I got pulled [by McTominay], they didn’t give anything. If I had pulled him like that, they would have awarded a penalty. It is what it is.”
Looking Ahead
Despite the disappointment, Colwill remains determined to move on from the defeat and focus on the upcoming match against Everton. He acknowledged that it was a frustrating night for the team, but believes they had chances to change the outcome if they had taken them.
Rising Star in the Chelsea XI
Levi Colwill has made a name for himself in the Chelsea XI this season, following a successful loan spell at Brighton. The 20-year-old Englishman has already made 14 Premier League appearances and was even given the captain’s armband against Manchester United.
