Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Brighton over a summer deal for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Mauricio Pochettino is looking to strengthen his squad with a new goalkeeper this summer, while Chelsea are open to offloading Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Andre Onana is also on Chelsea’s summer shortlist, however Inter Milan are demanding at least €40 million (£34m) for the 27-year-old, who joined on a free transfer from Ajax last July.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are also targeting Sanchez and are currently in talks with Brighton. Inter Milan are also said to be interested in signing Romelu Lukaku, Kalidou Koulibaly, Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is already in advanced negotiations with AC Milan.
Sanchez’s future at Brighton remains uncertain after he was left out of Roberto De Zerbi’s side towards the end of the season. De Zerbi stated that Sanchez wanted to stay home and that he had no problem with the goalkeeper, but he had to make a decision before the game. Sanchez still has two years remaining on his current deal with Brighton.
